Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller for construction project accounting in the Duncan, SC area. You will lead accounting operations for projects, manage close cycles, and deliver accurate financial reporting with a focus on job costing and percentage of completion.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting, 4+ years in construction accounting, and proficiency with Sage, Timberline, Vista, and related tools. On-site, full-time with full benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in accounting/finance with construction project accounting.
• Proficiency with Sage, Timberline, Sage 300, Vista, and Vista Viewpoint.
• Strong knowledge of percentage of completion and lien waivers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations for construction projects including cost, GL, AP, AR, and project accounting.
• Prepare monthly financial reports with accurate recording of data.
• Manage percentage of completion and ensure timely recording.
• Handle change orders and lien waivers with transparency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with GC and subcontractors on financial aspects of contracts.
