GFT in New York, NY seeks a Senior Construction Manager to join our Construction Services Team in New York, NY. The role requires regular attendance at the New York office and focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

You will lead design and construction activities across multiple contracts, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and vendors, and ensuring risk is minimized through proactive decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction and design-related roles.
• At least 4 years managing construction projects across multiple phases.
• Strong understanding of contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working on public sector projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction across multiple contracts, from planning through closeout
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to keep projects on track
• Review and interpret contract documents, including plans and specifications
• Monitor scope, schedule, and budget while identifying risks and solutions
• Support decision-making through clear communication and problem solving
• Contribute to both new construction and major renovation projects
