Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead major field projects in Alabama and surrounding regions.

You will plan, organize, and staff key field positions, drive project objectives, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery within scope. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering or related field, 7+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera, estimating tools, and HD

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, stream restoration, stormwater, erosion control and utilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and estimating software like Hard Dollar/Bid Build/HeavyBuild.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera or similar scheduling software.
• Understanding of civil engineering design and construction methods and industry standards.
• Experience with job costing, scheduling and estimating contract changes.
• Ability to apply advanced management techniques to maximize project performance.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Ability to prepare routine reports and communicate with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and staffs key field positions with leadership guidance.
• Establishes project objectives, policies and performance standards.
• Liaises with clients, subcontractors and vendors to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitors construction to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Represents the company in meetings with clients and partners.
• Manages contracts’ financial aspects and relationships.
• Coordinates project activities and policies across departments.
• Maintains liaison with stakeholders to support project requirements.
• Presents design discrepancies for resolution with engineers.
• Prepares field documentation and change requests.
• Provides supervision or technical direction as needed.
• Ensures proper measurement and installation according to plans.
• Monitors progress for monthly billings and reports.
• Performs additional assignments as needed.
