Job summary

CogentAnalytics in Detroit seeks a senior project manager to run complex construction projects with ownership of schedule, budget, and owner relationships. You will oversee multiproject environments, coordinate subs and field teams, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a construction project manager on commercial or multifamily projects.
• Experience on CM at risk and GMP contracts.
• Occupied multifamily renovation experience is a plus.
• Strong blueprint reading is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2–3 projects concurrently from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the schedule: build, update, and enforce with meaningful lookaheads.
• Manage money: GMP, contingency, buyout, change orders and cost tracking.
• Maintain owner relationships with regular updates and no surprises.
• Direct subs and field teams; set expectations and resolve on-site issues.
• Ensure permits, inspections, and MIOSHA safety on every job.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, logs, pay apps, and closeout package.
• Support estimating and preconstruction: pricing, constructability and bid strategy.
