Job summary

HireVenture is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex industrial construction projects in Dallas, TX. You will oversee from preconstruction through closeout, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and drive client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction management experience with a large commercial GC, strong financial acumen, and proven leadership across multi-project programs. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction management experience.
• Recent experience with a medium- to large-sized commercial General Contractor.
• Strong project financial management, budgets, cost controls, forecasting, profitability.
• Experience with GMPs or hard bids.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and delivery.
• Experience with preconstruction, estimating, quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and subcontractor buyout.
• Ability to develop, manage, and mentor project teams.
• Knowledge of scheduling and construction technology; BIM/CMiC is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMiC or similar software.
• Strong verbal/written communication and client-facing skills.
• Negotiation, problem solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for complex commercial construction projects or multiple projects.
• Own outcomes for safety, schedule, quality, budget, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Lead safety culture and risk management across sites and offices.
• Support preconstruction activities: quantity takeoffs, trade coordination, scheduling, bid package development.
• Lead buyout process: scope/pricing verification, bidder evaluation, subcontractor selection.
• Manage submittal schedules and coordination across teams.
• Review shop drawings and samples with architects/engineers.
• Coordinate pricing with logistics and procurement.
• Evaluate subcontractor risk, insurance, bonding, and performance.
• Coordinate stakeholders: owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams.
• Manage change requests, estimates, and owner/architect approvals.
• Lead project meetings and monthly project reviews.
• Develop and update project schedules with superintendents.
• Apply Lean principles to improve execution.
• Provide regular financial reporting and monthly cost/margin forecasts.
• Monitor costs vs budget and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee closeout activities: punch lists, warranties, subcontract closeout.
• Collaborate with legal and internal resources on issues.
