Job summary

Broward College seeks an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee campus construction programs. You will manage daily construction activities, coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, and ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, and college standards.

Travel within the tri-county area is required and occasional emergencies are possible. Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in construction management, a bachelor's in Architecture or related field, and familiarity with

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field; equivalent combination considered.
Minimum 12 years of experience in construction management or related field.
Florida codes knowledge preferred (FAC, Florida Ed Codes, Florida DOT regulations).
LEED certification preferable but not required.
General contractor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage construction projects from start to finish per College directives.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and code officials.
Review submittals, change orders, and material substitutions for compliance and quality.
Prepare and review project scopes, specifications and budgets.
Provide reports and guidance to senior leadership and Facilities leadership.
