Job summary

General Atomics in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager for Facilities to lead capital projects within the ED&C organization. You will manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams across defense, aerospace, laboratories, and manufacturing contexts.

Occasional CONUS travel is required to support project execution. Ideal candidates have extensive PM experience, strong communication, and budgeting skills, with familiarity in Procore and SAP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in project management, planning, scheduling and budget management.
• CCM and/or PMP certification desired.
• Experience as an owner's representative is preferred.
• Experience using SAP or similar financial management software is desired.
• Familiarity with MEP systems and cloud-based construction management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, develops, and presents data concerning facility modifications by understanding the customer’s needs.
• Maintains project budgets and provides monthly spend forecasting and cost justifications for funding requests.
• Collaborates with internal architectural, engineering, and pre-construction staff to determine scope, costs, and schedules.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms to develop design criteria for construction drawings.
• Facilitates design reviews to meet basis of design and project objectives.
• Monitors project schedules, timelines, and milestones from initiation to completion.
• Works with internal procurement from RFP through closeout.
• Participates in various project meetings and maintains reports and records.
