Qualifications

• Five+ years of Professional Liability underwriting experience
• Experience underwriting Architects & Engineers or Construction PI
• Ability to review construction contracts and professional services agreements
• Experience evaluating complex risks, claims history, and pricing
• Established broker relationships in Architects & Engineers or Construction PI
• Knowledge of primary and excess Professional Liability structures
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with brokers and clients
• Willingness to travel for broker meetings and industry events

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio focused on Construction Professional Liability risks
• Evaluate annual practice and project-specific opportunities, including primary and excess placements
• Analyze insureds' professional services, design responsibilities, and project exposures
• Review contracts to assess indemnification, liability limits, and design responsibility
• Develop underwriting recommendations with clear rationale for pricing and terms
• Negotiate coverage and terms with brokers while maintaining disciplined risk selection
• Build relationships with construction-focused brokers and clients to generate opportunities
