Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in the United States seeks an experienced Professional Liability Underwriter to own and grow a Construction PI portfolio. You will evaluate complex exposures, champion disciplined risk selection, and engage brokers to secure high-quality, profitable business.

In this hybrid role, expect collaboration with Claims, Actuarial, and Risk Engineering, travel for broker meetings, and leadership in underwriting standards across primary and excess lines.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Professional Liability underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting construction-related professional risks (architects, engineers, contractors).
• Ability to review and interpret contracts and professional services agreements.
• Established broker relationships with retail or wholesale brokers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a profitable Construction PI and Miscellaneous Professional Liability portfolio.
• Negotiate coverage, pricing, and terms with brokers.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, and Risk Engineering.
• Monitor portfolio performance and market conditions.
• Represent Swiss Re at broker meetings and industry events.
