Job summary

Certerra is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Inspector in the Dallas area. This full-time role involves field and lab testing, leading high-profile projects, and ensuring compliance with certifications. Travel to client facilities is expected in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The position requires a strong safety mindset, plan-reading skills, and at least 5 years of CM testing experience, with relevant certifications and ability to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Excellent plan reading skills.
• Demonstrated math and technical aptitude.
• Flexibility to work extended or non-traditional hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• State DOT certifications, and/or NICET certifications.
• ASCE, PTI, and/or NCCER Certifications.
• ICC Concrete and Soils Certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction materials testing experience.
• Ability to work all hours and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Field and laboratory testing of pressure treated construction materials.
• Take lead in high profile projects.
• Maintaining required certifications
• Coordinating with clients and Certerra engineering and state professionals.
• Travel to client facilities as needed
• Report writing and computer skills
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the Project Manager.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
