Job summary

CERTERRA is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Project Manager for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This full-time role manages complex materials testing and inspection projects, coordinating designers, clients, suppliers, and field teams to meet project specifications and schedules.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, a strong knowledge of testing methods and regulatory requirements, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction materials projects.
• Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications.
• Experience performing ICC Special Investigations.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving history is required.
• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed.
• Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field.
• Review daily reports on observation activities and test data for accuracy and completeness.
• Track project budgets and prepare invoices.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare proposals and deliver to client.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and resources related to material acquisition and testing activities.
• Oversee quality control processes, including laboratory testing and field inspections, to ensure material compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to address material-related challenges and optimize project outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry standards throughout the material management lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
