Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) in Charlotte, NC seeks a Special Inspections Technician II to assist with construction material testing and on-site observations. You will work under a registered professional engineer, conducting concrete, soil and related inspections while documenting findings for project engineers.

The role requires certifications in ACI-1 Concrete and ICC Soils, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain additional certifications within three months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction materials testing or equivalent.
• Active certifications: ACI-1 Concrete and ICC Soils (or SCDOT/NCDOT Earthwork).
• Ability to obtain additional certifications (ICC Reinforced Concrete or ICC Masonry) within 3 months.
• Valid Driver's License with clean record (3 years).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection or sampling services under supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing; monitor construction activities.
• Prepare daily reports with test results and site observations for project engineer.
