Job summary

ECS Limited, part of ECS Group of Companies, seeks a CMT Senior Field Technician I for our North Augusta team. You will perform field observations, testing, sampling and reporting while collaborating with project management professionals to safely execute tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Advanced proficiency with electronic devices and data systems.
• Must be able to lift equipment up to 85 lbs and operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.
• Execute testing activities on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare accurate daily field reports documenting site conditions and results.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers and escalate issues as needed.
• Mentor Technician I and II staff in field procedures and documentation.
