Job summary

Dominion Water & Sanitation District (DWSD) is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead major water and wastewater capital projects. The role focuses on planning, preconstruction, and direct construction management for DWSD’s facilities, including the wastewater treatment plant using a multi-prime delivery approach.

The candidate will oversee project delivery, safety, permitting, and coordination across internal teams and external partners, ensuring on-time performance and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or closely related field.
• CCM designation preferred.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of construction management experience.
• Experience with municipal/public utility projects is a plus.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction of water and wastewater capital projects with multi-prime or single-prime delivery.
• Administer safety protocols from planning through field operations.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and DWSD leadership.
• Provide construction input during design, planning, and preconstruction.
• Ensure permitting compliance and coordination with local agencies.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting of progress, budgets, and scope changes.
