Responsibilities

• Manages staff and consultants to ensure technical adequacy of engineering work and adherence to schedules.
• Reviews project proposals to determine time frame, funding, staffing, and constructability.
• Provides expert guidance on water, sewer and wastewater treatment plant systems design and construction.
• Evaluates design changes and specifications.
• Assists in development of the Capital Improvements Program (CIP).
• Prepares preliminary budget justification for area.
• Oversees daily planning, administration, and personnel actions within area.
• Interacts with officials, private consultants and contractors.
