Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced project leader to manage major construction initiatives in Huntsville. The role requires a Top Secret clearance and a deep background in defense or aerospace-driven capital projects.

The successful candidate will oversee planning, scheduling, and field execution, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget. A strong safety record and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; 12+ years of exp may substitute for degree.
• 12+ years of experience managing construction projects, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and field oversight.
• Experience with government, military, or aviation-related construction projects preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to work across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction projects from planning through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and contract alignment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams for successful execution.
• Oversee site activities, monitor progress, address risks, changes, and field conditions.
• Review plans, specs, schedules and submittals for compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
• Track project performance, maintain documentation, and provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Support procurement, scheduling, inspections, and contractor management throughout the lifecycle.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
