Job summary

Pacifica Services, Inc. seeks a senior project manager to lead pre-construction through close-out for large public/educational facilities in the Los Angeles area. You will coordinate with District staff, public agencies, and architects to ensure budget, schedule and quality standards are met.

The role requires fifteen years of professional construction/PM experience, with five years managing projects over $20M. BIM experience and CCM credential are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years full-time paid professional experience in Construction and/or Project/Construction Management.
• Five (5) of the fifteen (15) years should involve coordinating complex projects over $20M.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-construction, bid and award, construction and close-out phases of all assigned projects.
• Review pre-construction documents and submit comments to Designer as necessary.
• Plan and prepare reports to upper management on status and progress.
• Coordinate with public agencies and District staff during pre-construction and construction.
• Manage project budget and schedule; monitor monthly budget and reflect status.
• Direct daily activities of contractors; review schedules and submittals; respond to RFCs.
• Review substitutions to ensure compliance with specifications and District requirements.
• Review contractor change orders for fair pricing and schedule impacts.
• Review payments to contractors, architects, engineers, and others.
• Administer Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District.
• Coordinate delivery of fixtures, furniture and equipment.
• Monitor project close-out with DSA and financial close-out.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
