Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading construction projects of increasing complexity.
  • Data Center experience is a plus.
  • Multi-prime or alternate procurement delivery experience preferred.
  • Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP construction management is a requirement.
  • Expected travel of 10% but may grow over time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and operations.
  • Oversee safety programs and site safety performance.
  • Review contracts, budgets, and schedules; drive cost/schedule savings.

Construction implements and executes upon the work product developed by the Development & Engineering (D&E) team. The team also manages Vantage’s build partners to success through technical feedback and review and actively participates in review of schedule and budget. The position covers all aspects of a construction project. Areas of expertise require autonomy and independent discretion in the following areas:RFP development and overall project budgetingPre-bid planning, oversight and coordinationLead multiple projects/deliverablesLeading all design phases and documents working internally with stakeholder groups and SME’sCustomer engagement for sales and fulfillment of project requirementsCoordination and supervision of design-build, and design bid build contractorsOversight of physical construction activities on siteCoordination and logistical planning for all OFCI equipmentLeading commissioning of critical systems integration across new and existing data centersHand-off of physical data center and project documents to operationsManagement in prime contractor safety performanceEssential Job FunctionsManagement of project scope, safety, schedule, stakeholder, and budgetDrive all aspects of construction including pre-construction, design development, permitting and entitlements, competitive bid process, team selection, construction oversight, commissioning, and project closeoutCultivate ability to build business cases and bring projects from concept through internal project approvalImplement project quality controls and safety programs through an in-depth understanding of the partner contracts and design documentsLead the Vantage site safety program and provide weekly HRA site walk reports.
