Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager to lead the EGL1 Project in Seaham, County Durham, focusing on energy sector delivery. The role emphasizes construction leadership, health and safety, and HDR project governance across design, build, and handover stages.

You will coordinate teams, ensure constructability input and allocate resources while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction on a multi-country EPC framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior managerial role.
• HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with clients and subcontractors.
• A true leader with passion for people development, can-do attitude and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of project teams during construction and installation.
• Coordination of constructability input during solutions identification and development.
• Allocation of construction staff to projects based on experience, skills and knowledge.
• Liaises with Project Management to size the construction resource pool.
• Over-all management of construction resources including Labour, Plant and Materials.
• Ensures all construction activities comply with Health and Safety legislation.
• Ensures duties under CDM Regulations are discharged.
• Ensures construction activities meet quality procedures.
• Interfaces with functional leaders to drive project from solution through construction to handover.
