Job summary

The Lanes Group is recruiting a Construction Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of clean water network projects under our Yorkshire Water contract, based in Sheffield or Bradford.

The role requires leading bids, managing schedules, and building client relationships. A degree in construction or project management and a UK driving licence are essential. Excellent leadership in a niche water market is valued.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of the water industry and construction processes.
• Degree/HND in Construction or Project Management (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4/FIDIC contracts (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Drive, develop and manage business opportunities within the industrial water treatment division in support of Yorkshire Water.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clean water clients.
• Attend site visits to evaluate work requested.
• Lead bids and proposals, working closely with estimating teams.
• Build strong client relationships and understand project needs.
• Plan, budget, and manage construction schedules.
• Monitor progress on-site and resolve issues quickly.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee project close-out and final accounts.
