Insight Global is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the Energy Storage Center in Mojave, CA. You will guide the project from late development through construction, commissioning, and delivery, coordinating with engineers, contractors and partners on large-scale energy infrastructure.

The role requires 10-15+ years in heavy construction management, multidisciplinary team leadership, and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

An employer sitting in Mojave, CA is looking to hire a Senior Construction Project Manager to play a key leadership role in building their Energy Storage Center, a first-of-its-kind Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES) facility in California. This is a rare opportunity to help deliver a transformative clean energy project that will support California's growing demand for reliable, long-duration renewable energy storage. As part of the Owner's Team, you'll help lead the development and construction of the project's surface facilities, including the power generation plant, major civil infrastructure, and high-voltage transmission systems. Working closely with engineering teams, contractors, and project partners, you'll guide the project from late-stage development and financial close through construction, commissioning, and final delivery. We're looking for a seasoned construction leader with experience delivering large-scale power, energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across civil construction, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls disciplines, along with a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, contractors, budgets, schedules, and project risks. This role offers the opportunity to oversee one of California's most innovative energy projects while working alongside a highly experienced team focused on advancing the future of renewable energy. Significant time will be spent at the California project site in Mojave, providing hands-on leadership during construction and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This will be a 12 month contract with potential to convert to full time. The compensation for this role ranges between $75-90/hour.

Required Skills & Experience

• - 10-15+ years of construction/project management experience on large industrial, power generation/power plant, renewable energy, utility, or infrastructure projects
• - Strong experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors; specifically including Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil work
• - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• - Ability to travel to Canada and/or Denver as needed; Working onsite M-Fri in Mojave, CA

• - Power plant, energy storage, transmission, or utility project experience highly preferred.
