Job summary

Union Savings Bank -CT in Danbury, CT is seeking a Construction Loan Manager to oversee the Bank's construction loan process and develop a portfolio of commercial mortgage and construction loan accounts.

This role collaborates with Commercial Services and the SVP - Department Head to structure, underwrite and monitor loans, while interfacing with accountants, appraisers, architects, attorneys and engineers involved in financed projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with construction loan processes and procedures in a banking environment.
• Ability to interface with outside experts (accountants, appraisers, architects, attorneys, engineers) on financed projects.
• Track record of structuring, coordinating, and underwriting construction loans with Credit Administration and other loan officers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the construction loan process, including maintenance of procedures and policies with the SVP - Department Head.
• Coordinate with external professionals (accountants, appraisers, architects, attorneys, engineers) for project financing.
• Structure, coordinate and underwrite construction loans with Credit Administration and other commercial loan officers.
• Manage third-party professionals (engineers, inspectors) to coordinate project cost feasibility, budget reviews, and inspections.
• Prepare monthly reports on the status of all construction loans.
• Handle multiple, complex transactions concurrently and maintain knowledge of bank operations and applicable loan policies.
