Job summary

CES Consultants, Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to oversee advanced inspections on infrastructure and public works projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, plans, codes and safety requirements.

You will mentor junior inspectors, coordinate with contractors, engineers and project management, document findings and nonconformances, and support project closeout activities. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in construction management, civil engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible inspection experience on infrastructure/public works projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with public agency standards and testing/reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections of civil, structural, roadway, utility, and architectural work.
• Ensure contractor compliance with plans, specs, codes, and regulations.
• Inspect utilities including water mains, sewer, stormwater, paving, and restoration.
• Verify testing activities and document results; maintain logs and deficiency reports.
• Mentor junior inspectors and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and PMs.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and support schedule observations.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and final inspections.
