Job summary

CES Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to oversee advanced inspections on infrastructure and public works projects across the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area.

You will lead field activities, ensure compliance with plans and codes, and guide junior inspectors while coordinating with contractors and engineers. The role requires 5+ years in construction inspection or related CEI/PMCM services, strong knowledge of industry standards, and proficiency with inspection software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, CEI, or PMCM services.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with public agency standards.
• Proficiency in inspection and reporting software (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, e-Builder, Bluebeam, MS Office).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections of civil, structural, roadway, utility, and architectural work.
• Ensure contractor compliance with plans, specs, codes, and regulations.
• Inspect utility installations and verify testing activities (concrete, asphalt, compaction, coatings, etc.).
• Document progress through reports, photos, logs; maintain deficiency logs and track corrective actions.
• Mentor junior inspectors and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project management.
• Review pay quantities, field measurements, RFIs, and change orders; support schedule observations.
