Terracon is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform daily inspections on diverse projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, drawings, and specifications. The role requires advanced inspection certifications and a track record of field testing and reporting.

The candidate will read plans, document findings, and communicate with the project team, while upholding strict safety standards. Experience across multiple disciplines such as structural steel, concrete, and masonry is preferred.

Qualificações

• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.

Responsabilidades

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed to ensure work meets contract specifications.
• Communicates findings to engineer or project manager and collaborates on resolutions.
• Lead and coordinate activities of lower level inspectors.
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration.

Formação académica

Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology

High school diploma or equivalent

NICET Level III certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils)

NICET Level III certification in Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration, Generalist)

ICC certification – Reinforced Concrete

ICC certification – Spray-applied Fireproofing

ICC certification – Structural Masonry

ICC certification – Prestressed/Post-Tensioned Concrete

ICC certification – Structural Steel – Bolting

ICC certification – Structural Steel – Welding

ICC Master of Special Inspection

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

ASNT Level III certification (VT, MT, PT, RT, UT)

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I

ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician

Nuclear Density Gauge operation certification

Radiation safety certification
