Job summary

Delaware County, Ohio seeks a Construction Supervisor to oversee inspectors, coordinate with contractors, and ensure high-quality work on county projects. The role reports to the Construction Manager and requires strong leadership and project oversight across active sites.

The position requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background (or 8+ years in related field) and a valid driver’s license. Regular attendance and occasional after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or 8+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years of related construction project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules Inspectors’ daily and weekly projects.
• Coordinates inspection projects with contractors.
• Review Inspectors' reports for all present jobs.
• Conducts site visits on active projects on a weekly basis.
• Maintains records of past and current construction projects.
• Releases projects for Commissioners approval.
• Identify line locations within right-of-way per Ohio Utility Protection System.
• Conducts pre-construction meetings.
• Assists Engineers on construction projects.
• Attends training sessions and workshops.
• Performs typing, word processing, and related computer operations.
