Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for federal project eligibility.
• Ten or more years of construction inspection, quality control, or facilities management experience on large-scale programs.
• Experience with federal facilities, energy infrastructure, or industrial plants is preferred.
• OSHA 10/30-hour certification is required.
• Knowledge of NEC, IBC, ASME, NFPA and related codes.
• Procore and MS Office proficiency for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings and document protocols, communication channels, and reporting requirements.
• Review final design/construction drawings, technical specs, submittals and project schedules.
• Develop and maintain a site-specific Inspection Plan for each active work package.
• Conduct full-time daily on-site surveillance of all active construction and demolition areas.
• Inspect delivered materials and equipment for conformance with approved submittals.
• Observe welding, electrical testing, pressure vessel inspections, concrete placement, and coordinate third-party specialists.
• Identify, photograph, document, and track deficiencies; maintain a deficiency log and verify corrective actions.
• Monitor safety compliance including PPE, fall protection, LOTO, and required permits.
• Witness field tests, equipment startups, system testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare daily inspection logs, weekly summaries, and monthly reports with photos.
• Review contractor schedules for realistic progress and compliance statements.
• Perform technical reviews of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and commissioning reports.
• Support client technical representative during closeout and acceptance processes.
