HDR, Inc. is seeking a Chief Inspector to lead on-site observation of civil infrastructure construction across Orange, Ulster and Dutchess Counties in New York. You will mentor field staff and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure project plans and specifications are followed.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in construction inspection. HDR emphasizes an inclusive, employee-owned culture and safety compliance on client sites.

• Conduct and document observations of construction progress on civil projects (roads/bridges).
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed.

• Read and interpret drawings; identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Identify nonconforming work and maintain punch lists until corrected.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
