Job Description: Senior Construction Inspector

We are seeking a professional Senior Inspector to join our highway team, working alongside our technical experts to develop new techniques and standards. You will mentor early-career professionals and assist engineers and project administrators in completing inspection work according to project and client specifications.

This position is located in St. Cloud, MN.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor on-site construction activities.
• Inspect materials in accordance with the client's scope of services, including plans, specifications, and special provisions. Transport samples to testing facilities as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily operations and significant events.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Monitor and inspect Work Zone Traffic Control per client requirements.
• Inspect contractor’s quality control procedures.
• Perform material testing and verify procedures conform to the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance; measure quantities of materials placed.
• Perform sampling and in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt pavement as required.

What You Will Bring:

• A minimum of 10 years of MNDOT or municipal CEI inspection experience.
• CTQP Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, including MOT Advanced.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• Additional CTQP certifications, including Final Estimates Level I, Concrete Field Technician Level I, Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges), Asphalt Roadway Level I & II, Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I & II, Pile Driving Inspection, and Drilled Shaft Inspection.
• Certifications for inspection of drilled shafts, sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal foundations, including MNOT Advanced MOT, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, Nuclear Radiation Safety, and Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control.
