Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking qualified Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection group in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control construction observations for roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
• Read and interpret contract documents and construction plans.
• Monitor and track construction sequencing, costs, and performance to support decision-making.
• Maintain proper document control, quality assurance, and project records.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in record-keeping across various contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of FDOT-related experience, including roadway (earthwork, sub-base, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage, lighting, guardrails, pavement markings, signs, and maintenance of traffic inspections for day or nighttime operations).
• Experience with bridge construction inspection (rehabilitation & new) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• CTQP certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong PC skills.
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of FDOT road specifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for comprehending written communications and verbal instructions.
