We specialize in interpreting and applying federal design guidelines for a diverse range of facilities, ensuring compliance and excellence in every project.

Job Summary:The Senior Site Lead, Construction Inspector Assessor will be required to complete comprehensive facility condition assessments on a wide range of buildings for both existing owners and potential purchasers. We anticipate the successful candidate spending up to 40-60 percent of their time carrying out site-based assessments. This position will likely require travel for up to several weeks at a time. The bulk of the project load will be done on DoD and Federal Facilities, which require comprehensive background checks and security clearance. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of various building types, construction systems, and repair/replacement methods. This position reports to the Discipline Leader, Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing comprehensive and high-quality visual condition assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as building envelope, roof, and interior assessment to a variety of building types.
  • Reviewing available building information and drawings to determine building construction and evaluate whether the installed systems are adequate for current building use.
  • Identifying and developing facility repair and replacement options to satisfy the client project objectives.
  • Some development of detailed cost estimates for implementing maintenance and capital expenditure projects.
  • Handling multiple condition assessment projects in a condensed timeframe. Providing strategic advice from a client facing position and successfully deliver projects. Additional duties as required.
  • Serving as on-site POC, in some instances as the Deputy Project Manager, able to assist with logistics, and make critical project decisions.
  • Will be the first line of Quality Control check for the information gathering and will assist in writing drafts of reports.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the development of a staff task plan and work schedule for the completion of project assignments.

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS or Associates Degree with equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Construction, or an Architecture/Engineering field.
  • Minimum of ten years related experience/training.
  • Knowledge of BUILDER SMS software is required.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to travel for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background checks and security clearance for Federal and DoD Facilities.
  • Must be able to research and plan projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes and materials.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple Project Managers or other sources and facilitate workflow with good time management.
  • Presents and explains tenets of the project to the client and other team representatives.
  • Must possess proficient knowledge of electronic software systems (such as BUILDER, Access, Bluebeam, Adobe, Word, Excel) as required for assigned projects. With the rapid nature of evolving production methods, the position may be required to learn new software to perform the basic job duties.
  • Maintain an organized project file documenting the entire process.

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While on-site, the employee may lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel: This position requires travel, including but not limited to, travel to local and nonlocal project sites, training, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Dependent on workload, hours may be somewhat flexible, and some late evenings and weekends may be required.
