Job summary

City of McKinney is seeking a Construction Inspection Superintendent to oversee CIP and development project inspections, including roads, water, wastewater, and storm drainage. You will provide leadership to field supervisors, enforce approved plans, and resolve complex field issues with developers and contractors.

The role requires a strong background in construction inspection, extensive supervision experience, and a commitment to City standards and public infrastructure quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience in construction inspection/management.
• Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• CPII certification or other relevant construction inspection certification is preferred.
• TCEQ Water and/or Wastewater Operator license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection activities for CIP, development projects, roads, water, sewer, and storm drainage.
• Lead the Construction Inspection team through field supervision and staffing.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and enforcement of plans, standards, and requirements.
• Coordinate with developers, contractors, and city departments to resolve field issues and ensure City standards.
