Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required; twelve years of progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, management, or related field.
• CPII certification or other relevant construction inspection certification preferred.
• TCEQ Water and/or Wastewater Operator license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection activities for CIP and development projects; inspect roads, water, sewer, and storm drainage; enforce erosion control requirements.
• Lead and develop the Construction Inspection team; manage field supervisors and staff; set expectations and accountability.
• Interpret and enforce plans, specifications, and city standards; reject non-compliant work and require corrective action.
• Coordinate with developers, contractors, city departments, residents, and stakeholders through project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance on plan interpretation, inspection practices, and erosion control requirements.
