Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in safety and construction experience.
• OSHA 510/500 certification completed.
• CSHT and CSP safety certifications preferred.
• Effective communication with management, coworkers, clients and vendors.
• Knowledge of local, state, federal and client safety regulations.
• Mentorship skills to develop junior team members.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and maintenance of the Health and Safety Plan.
• Develop site-specific safety orientation for all personnel.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and client regulations.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with client, insurers and regulators for audits and actions.
• Coordinate health and safety efforts with management and subcontractors.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits.
• Monitor safety performance and recommend improvements.
• Attend project management meetings to provide safety input.
• Lead toolbox talks and pre-shift safety briefs.
• Organize safety training sessions and other duties as assigned.
