Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Supervisor to lead project-specific safety programs and ensure compliance with ESS standards and regulatory requirements on construction sites.

This role focuses on creating a safe, productive work environment across heavy civil projects and client engagements. You will perform site inspections, lead orientations, investigate incidents, and collaborate with project teams to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in a related field plus six years of related experience, or ten years if no degree with CSP/ASP/CHST certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Strong knowledge of safety principles and regulations.
• Experience in developing and implementing safety programs; audits and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety orientation for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and client safety standards.
• Develop and maintain Health & Safety plans for projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate with clients, insurers, and regulators on audits and investigations.
