Job summary

Bear Real Estate Group seeks a Construction Controller to lead the financial operations of its Construction Division, including CMA and Bear Homes. This role entails steering project accounting, cost controls, and reporting, while partnering with development leadership on budgets and forecasts.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in construction finance, strong Excel skills, and experience in ERP systems. CPA/CMA is preferred; Bachelor's in accounting/finance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in construction/homebuilding.
• Experience leading an accounting team and owning close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMA and Bear Homes accounting and financial reporting.
• Manage month/quarter/year-end close, variances, and reporting.
• Oversee project accounting, budgets, cost-to-complete forecasting, and controls.
• Coordinate external audits, tax, banking, and bonding.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for project accountability.
