Responsibilities include analyzing plans, managing bids, and conducting cost analyses to ensure competitive pricing while mitigating risks and maximizing profitability. Travel up to 25% and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction or equivalent experience with a solid understanding of the industry.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a proven track record of bidding on and winning public projects.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints.
• Experience with public bid projects and understanding of government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
• Manage the bid process from start to finish, including soliciting subcontractor bids, reviewing proposals, and preparing bid packages for submission.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and ensure competitive pricing.
• Evaluate project risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance profitability.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project documents in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to clarify requirements and develop comprehensive bids.
