Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Construction Estimator in North Olmsted, OH for permanent, on-site work. The role offers the chance to prepare detailed estimates for hospital, education, school, commercial, and multifamily projects with cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will review plans, calculate quantities, assess risks, and present findings to management, leveraging advanced estimation tools and strong analytical skills. A minimum 5 years’ experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role.
• Proven experience estimating construction costs for hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal/state/government, retail and multifamily projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills; ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and cost control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects across various sectors.
• Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs.
• Evaluate cost-effectiveness and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to provide cost data.
• Conduct risk analysis and provide strategies to mitigate financial risks.
• Prepare and present cost reports to senior management.
• Stay updated with industry trends and estimation techniques.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
