Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Charlotte construction team. You will prepare detailed hard bid estimates for projects across hospitality, multi-family, commercial, senior living, healthcare, and more, helping us win work and stay competitive.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of estimating experience, a solid understanding of construction methods, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven expertise in hard bid estimating.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Utilize hard bid estimating to deliver competitive and accurate bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Review plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather accurate information for estimates.
• Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for use in future estimates.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimating staff.
• Participate in post-bid reviews to learn from successful and unsuccessful bids.
