Job summary

Holland General Contractor, a well-established firm in Holland, Ohio, is seeking an Estimator/Senior Estimator to join its growing team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects valued up to $30 million and collaborate with PMs, subs, and vendors to ensure accurate bids and budgets.

The ideal candidate has experience reading drawings and specs, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Sage estimating software.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating for commercial projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and contract docs.
• Knowledge of costs, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
• Experience with estimating software, preferably Sage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial projects.
• Review drawings, specs, bid documents, and project requirements.
• Perform takeoffs for materials, labor, equipment, and subs.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and estimates.
• Identify cost savings, risks, and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers, subs, vendors, and team.
• Assist with bid preparation, submissions, and handoffs.
• Maintain estimating documentation using Sage.
