Qualifications

• Strong analytical and critical thinking with high accuracy in calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in hospital/education/government/civil construction preferred.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs, proposals to prepare time, cost and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients, vendors and foremen to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Develop standard hour data and cost data; identify cost reductions.
• Prepare estimates for management planning, organizing and scheduling.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements for project duration.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide make or buy options.
• Conduct risk analysis and provide mitigation strategies.
• Keep abreast of latest construction technologies and apply to estimation.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of estimates.
