Job description

What Your Day Will Look Like:

Consor is looking for a Senior Construction Estimator responsible for prioritizing estimating workload to meet estimate deliverable dates. This is a hybrid role where the qualified candidate must go to the Oakland office twice a week.

Annual Salary Range: $170,000 to $200,000

What You'll Do:

The Senior Construction Estimator should be able to analyze specifications and calculate costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Responsibilities include:

  1. Collecting cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
  2. Computing cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor.
  3. Preparing and maintaining historical cost data.
  4. Creating cost models for estimating elements.
  5. Preparing cost reports and presenting findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, and customer representatives.

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of construction estimating experience
  • BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or relevant discipline
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to promptly and efficiently react to project changes, remaining flexible to change
  • Adept at researching and resolving project-related issues
  • Proficient using MS Excel and MS Word
  • Demonstrated knowledge of estimating tools
  • Preferred experience in rail or transportation construction projects.
