About the Role

CME is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Construction Estimator with 7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry. This position plays a key role in the pre-construction process, preparing accurate and competitive estimates for projects ranging from $500K to $30MM across various market sectors. This role requires effective communication, organization, and computer skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of delivering high-quality work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications across all CSI Divisions
• Perform digital quantity take-offs using On-Screen Takeoff software
• Manage subcontractor and vendor communication and bid invitations through Procore
• Solicit and confirm pricing and coverage from vendors and subcontractors
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct job site visits as needed
• Build strong working relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners
• Prepare bid day summary sheets and detailed scope narratives using MS Excel
• Lead pre-construction planning efforts to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
• Offer value-engineering solutions and cost-saving recommendations
• Analyze completed projects to refine internal production data and improve accuracy

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in commercial construction estimating

Technical Proficiency:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Procore project management software

Certifications: OSHA 30 required
