Job summary

Axogen in Vandalia, OH is seeking a Sr. Construction Engineer to lead capital construction projects from planning through commissioning.

You will ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance while coordinating with project managers, contractors, and facilities teams to deliver high-quality results. The role requires a civil/construction engineering degree, 5+ years in construction/regulated industries, and strong knowledge of GMP, drawing interpretation, and modern project tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, construction engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in construction or project engineering, preferably in regulated industries.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and change management in regulated environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support from conceptual planning through commissioning and closeout.
• Review designs for constructability, GMP compliance, and utility impacts.
• Coordinate with project teams to define scope, schedule, and execution strategies.
• Support change control and documentation for facility modifications.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across construction activities.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Prepare engineering documentation, RFIs, submittals, and records.
