Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Senior Engineer to act as the primary on-site representative for design development, contract administration, and execution of construction initiatives. The role requires a U.S.

Government Secret security clearance and oversight of quality assurance, cost control, and scheduling across the project lifecycle. The candidate will manage on-site surveillance, review drawings and submittals, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil).
• 5+ years of experience or a combined total of 10 years in commercial construction inspection, preferably at a military installation.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification required or to be obtained within 90 days.
• US Citizenship required for Secret level clearance and Tier 3 clearance may be needed for access to controlled areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management, administrative controls, and technical oversight from design through closeout.
• Translate project briefs into SOWs and line-item estimates using RSMeans.
• Review blueprints, submittals, and shop drawings to catch design errors or omissions.
• Conduct on-site surveillance and ensure workmanship meets quality benchmarks.
• Draft cost estimates for change requests and technical contract modifications.
• Review RFIs, schedule inspections, and witness testing as required.
• Manage work clearance docs, safety permits, and archive correspondence and submittals.
• Update as-built drawings in AutoCAD/Revit and prepare leadership risk briefings.
• Supervise engineers and align deliverables with contract requirements.
• Follow additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
