Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. seeks an Equipment Instructor to deliver advanced construction craft training across classroom, distance learning, and field settings. You will mentor instructors, oversee apprenticeship operations, and contribute to curriculum development while ensuring safety and accreditation compliance.

You will teach complex topics, evaluate student performance, and support program operations with enrollment, scheduling, and documentation in a hybrid on-site/travel-heavy role.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain NCCER Instructor Certification.
• Extensive journeyman/technician experience in construction craft.
• 5+ years teaching in vocational/technical construction craft programs preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience using LMS for tracking, reporting and training delivery.
• Ability to create, edit and deliver digital training materials.
• Familiarity with virtual training platforms (Teams/Zoom/WebEx).
• Strong communications and classroom management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and work in hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced classroom, distance learning, and field training for construction craft.
• Coordinate training sessions for apprentices, journeymen, and site supervision.
• Teach topics like transformers, networks, distribution, and industrial craft systems.
• Maintain a safe, professional learning environment and evaluate student progress.
• Lead curriculum development and quality improvement efforts.
• Support apprenticeship program operations, enrollment, scheduling, and tracking.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation for programs.
