Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Sr. Corporate Counsel to support legal and business operations, review contracts, provide general legal advice, and manage claims under the General Counsel’s guidance.

The role demands construction law expertise and strong negotiation skills. You will advise on contract issues, risk management, compliance, employment matters, and disputes with owners, subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in Arizona or eligible within six months.
• 5–8 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or corporate department; construction law experience required.
• Excellent communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Attend mediations, arbitrations, trials and hearings as needed.
• Conduct complex legal research and guide investigation of claims; advise management.
• Advise on construction disputes and contract administration; negotiate with owners/subcontractors.
• Provide legal counsel on topics including construction, compliance, employment and labor relations.
• Assist with risk management strategies and contract risk reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet legal needs and objectives.
