Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC (Vertex) is a leading global consulting firm providing strategic advisory, project management and dispute resolution services. We seek a Construction Consultant to analyze complex construction claims, develop technical analyses, and deliver client-ready work across a range of projects.

You will collaborate with senior experts, attorneys, owners, and contractors to support dispute engagements and litigation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, or Master's with 3 years, or 8 years with no degree.
Experience on large commercial, institutional, infrastructure, or healthcare construction projects.
Understanding of Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM-at-Risk, and Integrated Project Delivery.
Ability to review schedules, contracts, and cost documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze project documentation including contracts, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and cost records.
Develop CPM schedule analyses and perform delay impact assessments.
Prepare written reports and exhibits for clients and dispute proceedings.
Support expert witness teams with research and exhibit preparation.
Travel periodically for site visits and client meetings.
