Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Representative for Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. The role focuses on supervising, inspecting, and reporting on all construction phases to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements.

The candidate must be a US citizen, pass a federal background review, and undergo drug screening. A construction-related degree is preferred with 7+ years of federal project experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction contract administration and inspection on large complex federal projects (DoD/USACE preferred).
• Must be a US citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.
• Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable construction/building codes is needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surveillance reports on construction phases for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Support investigation and preparation of change orders.
• Develop detailed inspection requirements and controls.
• Observe construction phases for schedules, specs, and shop drawings; identify problems and recommend changes.
• Prepare daily site reports including progress, safety issues, and subcontractor manpower.
• Assist in all phases of the contract modification process.
• Review contractor plans and submittals for approval actions.
• Monitor progress and advise project team of potential delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
