Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead multi-million-dollar Ops construction projects, focusing on GC construction category strategy, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires travel up to 10% and a strong background in strategic sourcing across complex programs.

The person will own category roadmaps, drive cost optimization, and partner with Design & Construction, Operations Engineering, and Finance to deliver site launches on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical/quantitative field
• Experience defining and executing program requirements
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• 7+ years in strategic sourcing and category management (indirect categories)
• 7+ years in supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, lookups, etc.)
• 7+ years of construction cost management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead GC construction category projects and deliver multi-disciplinary, multi-million-dollar sites
• Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies with cross-functional teams; influence category roadmap with senior leadership
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to plan and deliver site launches for Prime week and Peak season
• Own targets across NA GC construction scope and improve processes and systems
• Drive supplier sourcing, contracting and support through project delivery while maintaining supplier relationships
• Lead supplier performance management including sustainability & social responsibility
• Contribute to KPI development and team goal setting
• Audit team progress to meet customer expectations
• Act as market intelligence provider on category opportunities for stakeholders
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
